☄ general info ♚ CHARACTER: daniel molloy ♚ SERIES: the vampire chronicles (books only) ♚ PULL POINT: a few weeks before lestat's music concert. daniel has run from armand and is wandering whatever city he is currently haunting with no money and no real direction. he will often go back to what he knows and try to interview people in exchange for a little money or cigarettes. (if you'd like a different pull point for a PSL, let me know! i'm fine with doing vampire daniel too!) ♚ AGE: 32 ♚ BIRTHDAY: oct 28 (daniel has no official birthday, but i think he's a scorpio) ♚ HEIGHT/BUILD: daniel is tall at 5'10" and is quite willowy. he doesn't have much muscle to speak of, but he isn't weak looking. though daniel often goes days at a time without eating, he pigs out once he gets the opportunity to, so he never looks underfed. ♚ LANGUAGE: daniel is from america and speaks english. ☄ first impressions ♚ VISUAL: daniel has sandy blonde hair that hangs around his face in curtains. he has violet eyes, tan skin, often has 5 o'clock shadow and bags under his eyes. in the book he is described as beautiful (hence the username, haha) so i think he has a certain attractiveness to him that's noticeable. this art by wisesnail is pretty much exactly how i picture daniel. i also use daniel from the movie (played by christian slater) as a face claim, although daniel has sandy blonde hair. i also use river phoenix as a face claim. ♚ NOTABLE FEATURES: he has a scar on his jugular from a vampire bite that was never healed. ♚ FASHION: his clothes are often dirty but they are expensive items. he wears prada sweaters but they have burn holes in and haven't been drycleaned like.. ever. sometimes he'll be wearing dior shirts that look new out of box with tailored slacks, but he'll be wearing sneakers with holes in them. ♚ DEMEANOUR: daniel is a little twitchy. there's usually a drink or a cigarette in his hand purely because he needs something to do with his hands. he can be a little intense purely because he is an intelligent man with very little outlet for it. as a vampire the knowledge of what he has become literally sends the guy insane to the point where he spends most of his time making scale models of trains/buildings etc, so he's literally one bad day away from just going nuts. in conversation he's friendly enough, if a little cynical. he can be quite dry and sarcastic too, and is the first to laugh at a bad joke. he gives off "tin foil hat" vibes. he would definitely believe your alien/government/cover-up conspiracy theory. ♚ AURAL: daniel has an american accent, slightly californian. His voice isn't especially low but he does drawl somewhat. ♚ OLFACTORY: daniel smells like an array of reasonably pricy cologne. he also often smells of alcohol and cigarettes, and something mechanical like oil. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: if a telapath were to scan his brain they'd find his mind constantly racing. daniel's thoughts are a mile a minute, taking in everything around himself and trying to store it for processing or trying to process it on the spot. daniel is also quite a sad soul, he has a tendancy to think the worst. he also has very little self preservation and often feels as though he has no place in the world and does not belong in it. if someone scanning him doesn't know about vampires, they'd also find a treasure trove of information about them in his mind, since vampirism becomes something of his special interest. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: the first thing magical beings may pick up on when meeting daniel is that he has a locket of ancient vampire blood around his neck. he also often has that same blood running through his own veins. other than that, daniel is a normal human. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: i love backtagging, please lets go mad and spend months tagging till we've worn the proverbial carpets down! ♚ FOURTHWALLING: no thanks, unless you're deadpool. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: daniel is fine with physical affection but he might be understandably weird about it unless he knows you well. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: you're welcome to try but daniel will absolutely lose. i headcanon he has only won a handful of fights in highschool by sheer luck alone. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: OTA. for canon mates i ship daniel with armand and louis mainly, but given the nature of TVC and daniel's whole... thing... i can pretty much ship him with anyone. for cross-canon relationships, i will lean M/M with him but i can do F/M if we talk about it first. if it's just sex, daniel isn't fussy. daniel is desperate to be loved and craved and treasured, so anyone that can pet his hair and pay him compliments will be a winner LOL GET CODE HERE
